A number of tourist sites in Beijing have temporarily closed their doors  due to recently implemented traffic regulations ahead of celebrations for the  70th anniversary of the end of World War II.

　　The National Museum of China recently announced that it will be closed from  August 22 to September 3. Also staying closed during this same period is the  Palace Museum and the Memorial Hall of Chairman Mao Zedong.

　　Neighboring the Palace Museum, Zhongshan Park was not open to the public on  Saturday causing performances scheduled to be held in the Forbidden City Concert  Hall, which is located inside the park, to be postponed to September 5 and  6.

　　Beijing's Lama Temple will close on September 3 and reopen the next  day.

　　Six public parks - Chaoyang Park, Longtan Park, Taoranting Park,  Honglingjin Park, Yaowahu Park, Lianhuachi Park, and Yuyuantan Park will be  closed on the morning of September 3 and will reopen after 2 pm on that same  day.
